Scott Eals, Quality Manager

How many years has it been since you started at Cypress Fabrication Services?

I started in October of 2023.

What do you love most about your job?

The ability to create systems and processes to improve the company as a whole. Watching the company evolve and being a small part of that change.

How long have you been in quality?

I have been in quality since 2004, at some level or another. I officially became a Quality Manager in 2014. Some of my earliest memories are performing PT inspections on hydroplane propellers in the late 80s. I didn’t really know I was doing it, but knowing what I know now, that is exactly what it was.

What motivates you?

Expanding Cypress Fabrication Services and getting it to the point where I can walk in blind with a strict auditor and pass an audit with very little input.

What do you like best about our company culture?

The positive attitude and family atmosphere. The culture is eager and willing to experiment with different ideas to make the company and industry better for all.                                                    
    
Who would you say is your role model?

My Father is one of the best men I have ever known. I am inspired to be more like him every day.

What’s something that you’ve always wanted to try or learn?

I would like to learn more computer programming. To help me and the company develop tools to analyze data and make things generally easier and smoother on our processes.

What are some of your observations regarding our leadership team?                                 

They are honest, open, and willing to take a chance and learn from their mistakes. These traits are rare in the industry.

What is your favorite meal to eat?

Cobbler.

What would you say is your dream place to travel too?

Ireland, Scotland, Malta, Rome, and some other places in the EU.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

At Cypress Fabrication, watching a well oiled machine perform the way that it should.
